ELVIS PRESLEY - Richmond, VA 1972 (HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY TO THE KING!)

Hey, hey, what can I say? Elvis would have been 75 today.

Far be it from li'l ol' me not to celebrate that stunning fact the best way I know how -- with a live boot fit for a King. This one was recorded by MGM cameras for the MIA-on-DVD 1972 doc Elvis on Tour, so the performance, setlist and audio quality all rule.

Elvis, ya left the building for the last time a helluva long time ago, but damn if we don't still miss the hell outta ya...

Happy 75th to The King!

Thanks for remembering the big E's 75th. We're shivering down here in Memphis land, but rockin' to a hot beat as always. Cheers!

You know it! I adore Memphis, was down there about 6 weeks ago, and it rained the whole day -- you can tell from the pic I posted -- but we had a blast anyway, from Sun Studio to the Lorriane Motel to Graceland to Marlowe's restaurant. Love it down there!

Thankyavermuch for stopping by, and long live The King...

Cheers,
TSM

I wish my late hubby were still here. He was Elvis biggest fan and he went to this show. If he were here he would've loved to have had it on cd. Thanks for posting. I am downloading so I can hear what my hubby saw and heard.

Dear Cheryl,

That is most likely the sweetest comment I've ever gotten, ever, in the 2 years and 2 months since I started this blog...

so thank you, God bless you, and you're so very welcome!
